I thoroughly enjoyed the CVCT's Cabaret Series USO Salute To The Troops last weekend. Great singing and staging. I know that you were the Director, and the work and effort that you put into it showed 'brightly'! The audience on Friday night was 'totally entertained'! Lot's of Laughs!! Please keep up the good work.

Intensive Theatre Workshop on
the Actor’s Emotional Preparation

Presented by Carson Valley Community Theater
Given by:
Peter Frisch, M.F.A.
https://www.thefrischapproach.com/

Emotional Preparation is a fundamental craft approach to your ability to transform into character and launch yourself into the scene with the character’s needs, motivations and obstacles. In this workshop you will learn what do just before an entrance – how to make strong choices and internalize them right before a character enters. Based on the actor’s choices of intention, motivation and obstacle, the right emotional preparation carries the actor through the scene without any need for pushing or falsification. It is a craft that will serve you wonderfully well for the rest of your acting life.

Testimonial:
"Peter is responsible for creating the kind of actor I am today. He taught me how to truly take risks in my work, invest authentically in my characters, and expect nothing but professionalism. The method that Peter taught is still one that I use today - he gave me the tools to access, emotionally and intellectually, very dense material. He allowed me to see that there is always a way that is deeper and truer than you first imagine."
